MAN hypoid axles come from large-scale series production for commercial vehicles and meet the most demanding requirements.

MAN hypoid axles offer a high loading-bearing capacity, have a wide output range and are of low weight. The axle housings are a welded construction of high-strength structural steel.

The crown wheel/pinion center drive and differential housing form an assembly and can easily be exchanged as a complete unit.
Shafts and gears are made of high-strength case-hardened and tempered steel, and mounted in robust tapered roller bearings. The output shafts are induction-hardened.

The wheel hubs are made of nodular cast iron and incorporate the latest findings in engineering.

The wheel bearings are maintenance-free (Hub Unit).

The full torque is built up within the hypoid gearing (crown wheel and pinion).

The axles are available with disk brakes. They are actuated pneumatically and feature automatic brake lining/pad adjustment and electronic wear indicators.

The brake linings are asbestos-free.

The axle is fitted with an anti-lock braking system (ABS).

Axles for single tires are available on request.

Only rims and tires released by MAN may be fitted.

The brake cylinders are pneumatically actuated and as a customer option, are included in the delivery content of the axle.
